Kinetic Evaluation Instruments BV is an established and reputable manufacturer of Surface Plasmon Resonance instruments and biosensors. Founded in year 2012, as a spin-off from Metrohm, the key staff members have over 20 years SPR experience. Since 1997 they designed and manufactured a range of state of the art SPR instrumentation and software for biochemistry, and the combination with electrochemical characterization of molecule interactions (ESPR).
Kinetic Evaluation Instruments BV (KEI) is based in the Netherlands and designs and manufactures Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) instruments, bioanalytical sensors and SPR-speciﬁc software for a variety of research applications. Shanghai Keyi Biotech Co. Ltd. is a branch based in China on a mission to reach the Asian market. KEI International Limited is the holding company of Kinetic Evaluation Instruments BV of the Netherlands and is responsible for globalizing its business and funding its research and development activities. We market gobally a range of state-of-the-art Surface Plasmon based and other biosensors allowing for label-free measurement of untreated samples.
Drs. Gerrit van der Wiele
Drs. Gerrit van der Wiele, Hong Kong resident, is a deal maker pur sang with an extensive experience in cross border M&A with Asia. With a background in International Investment Banking in the Netherlands and the UK, Corporate Restructuring and Corporate Recovery, Gerrit has been active as a turn around manager and setting up M&A deals for the past 25 years. He has a particular strong business network in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. Gerrit is also founder of NewTomorrows Ltd, active in corporate management services and Private Equity who also acts on behalf of a family fund based in Hong Kong.
Dr. Jan Castrop
Dr. Jan Castrop is a researcher and innovator in the ﬁeld of SPR and measuring instruments, with over 20 years of experience. He founded KEI in 2011, extending on his company Metrohm Autolab BV.
Castrop takes an innovative approach to technology development within the SPR ﬁeld, and since KEI’s establishment, has continued to enhance speciﬁc instruments and software. He has also spearheaded the manufacture of a number of new measuring instruments, which are sold globally to universities, laboratories and hospitals through the Metrohm network.
Additionally, he is responsible for the development of KEI products, including assays and measuring instruments, as well as R&D and production for the research market. He draws on signiﬁcant experience within the pharmaceutical industry and long term research in MTB diagnostics, and leverages a strong international university and laboratory network.
Castrop holds a PhD in biochemistry and chemistry.
